Declaración de fe
On the Bible
WE BELIEVE the Word of God is foundational to the Christian faith, being divinely inspired, infallible, and the prime and ultimate authority for the church (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God made the authority of Scripture clear from the first time it was given (Exodus 34:27). His Word is everlasting and unchanging in nature (Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35).
On God
WE BELIEVE in God the Father, Almighty, who created all things, both seen and unseen, in His Son Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit (Colossians 1:15-16). The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God, eternally existing in three Persons (Genesis 1; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; John 14:26; 15:26).
On the Messiah
WE BELIEVE that Jesus, the Messiah, the only begotten Son of God, was born of the virgin Mary, and came to save His people from their sins (Isaiah 7:14; John 3:16; Matthew 1:18-25). He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried (Luke 1:35; 3:1; Mark 15; Luke 23; Matthew 27: John 18:28-40). He descended into hell, and on the third day he rose again, justifying believers, and ascended into heaven (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 4:7-10; 1 Peter 3:18-20; Mark 16:19; Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9). He is seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead (Luke 22:69; Acts 2:33; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 12:2; 1 Peter 3:22; Matthew 24:27; 25:13; Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 19). He worked many miracles demonstrating the Kingdom of God with power (Acts 2:22; John 2:1-11; Mark 4:35-41; John 21:25).
On Sin & Salvation
WE BELIEVE that all have sinned, that all need salvation, that salvation is available only through the blood of Jesus Christ, and that all must confess and repent of their sins to receive forgiveness and eternal life (Romans 3:23; Acts 4:10-12; Romans 1:16; 10:9; Acts 2:38; 1 John 1:9: Romans 6:23; John 3:16). This process is known as becoming “born again” in Christ (John 3:3).
On Baptism
WE BELIEVE that once you have been forgiven of your sins (born again in Christ), you should be baptized in water, demonstrating the death of the old nature into new life in Christ (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-10; Matthew 28:18-20).
On Justification
WE BELIEVE in justification, meaning that through the resurrection of Christ and becoming born again, we have been acquitted of our sins and declared righteous in God’s sight (Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3; 5:1, 9-11; Galatians 2:16).
On Sanctification
WE BELIEVE in sanctification, which means to be separate from sin and dedicated to God. Biblically, sanctification is a symbol of being cleansed from pollution and allowing the Holy Spirit to renew us (1 Thessalonians 5:23: Hebrews 10:14; 2 Timothy 2:21; John 17:17; 2 Thessalonians 2:13). Once you become born again and baptized in water, a believer should strive to become more Christ-like in their behavior, exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit and living a holy and moral life through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:10; James 2:14-26; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Romans 6:6; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:16). When we miss the mark, we should repent right away and ask the Lord to deliver us from every bondage and stronghold (1 John 2:1; Proverbs 24:16; Philippians 3:12-14).
On the Baptism and Gifts of the Holy Spirit
WE BELIEVE that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is promised to all believers. The promise of a Spirit-filled life includes a prayer language (speaking in other tongues), the power to be a witness, an anointing to serve God, and operation in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-5; 2; Mark 16:17-18; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 27-31; 14; Ephesians 1:13-14).
On Healing and Deliverance
WE BELIEVE that divine healing and deliverance are provided through the blood of Jesus Christ, and that the prayer of faith will heal the sick (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 6:13; 9:22, 28-30; 17:14-21; Acts 1:8; James 4:7; 5:14-15; 1 John 4:4; 1 Peter 2:24).
On the Great Commission
WE BELIEVE that Christians are called to be salt and light to the world and to reach the world with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:13-16; 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-17).
On the Second Coming of Christ
WE BELIEVE in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ, first to resurrect the dead saints and to catch away the living in the air (1 Corinthians 15:12-56; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 19:11-20:6).
On Eternal Life and Judgment
WE BELIEVE in eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked (1 Thessalonians 4:17; John 5:24; 17:3; 1 John 2:25; Matthew 10:28; 18:8; 25:41-46; Luke 3:17; Revelation 21:8).
On Christ as King of Kings
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will return to rule and reign on earth as King of kings and Lord of lords for a thousand years. Then the dead will be judged at the great white throne judgment, and all whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire. The righteous will live eternally on a new earth (Mark 13:26; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Revelation 17:14; 19:16; 21-22:1-5).
